I think Alive in Baghdad is an outstanding achievement in terms of bringing in who’s on the ground and getting their stories during a time of hostile fire. It’s difficult enough to get decent news coverage and the project contributes to the overall picture of history as it happens. We need more people like Brian Conley to help put a human face to the masses that are caught in the of middle war. We have to chisel away at the Us vs. They model of the world and see each other on more familiar terms, beyond customs, governments and cultures. I think Alive in Baghdad helps in that way. Good work.

It is still amazing that Brian is doing this all out of pocket and is finding it hard to find investing in his venture. I would think that big media companies would be chomping at the bit for this. Help Brian out people. He is now in Mexico starting the same sort of thing down there.

Even though I saw Brian speak after the vloggies I learned new stuff from this interview. What he and his crew are doing is amazing. Nice interview.
