Adaptive Path Turns Six

Posted in GETV Episode by ekai on March 6, 2007
Adaptive Path, that rascally little South Park user experience studio at the center of all things web 2.0, celebrated it's sixth year in existence with a retro prom party. Last year, we had to find out what the meaning of Adaptive Path is. This year, we channel our inner VC and get the answers to questions that any potential sugar daddy might ask. The One-Man Star Wars Trilogy

Posted in GETV Episode by ekai on March 4, 2007
We were recently invited to check out Charles Ross' One-Man Star Wars Trilogy theatre show in San Francisco. In one hour, Charles single handedly runs through many of the best moments of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Dialogue, music, special effects and even a few references to the prequel, Charles manages a thoroughly convincing rendition of the trilogy. Irina has a few words with Charles after the opening night show in SF. Playing now until March 11th in San Francisco. Go see it! Use code DARTH and save $5. For these girls, Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament is their blood, low ping times is their mantra and weird Swedish food keeps them going through the night. Livia, Alana and Therese show us how it's done and give us the low down on the team and the house. Episode links: girlz 0f destruction, Home of Chrome, Livia, Alana, Therese

Holy Blinky Devices of Terror!

Posted in GETV Episode by ekai on February 20, 2007
At a recent Dorkbot, we happened upon three suspected terrorists in San Francisco harboring dangerous blinky LED cartoon characters. These are the same Aqua Teen Hunger Force "infernal machines" that caused Boston authorities to so thoroughly freak out recently. Watch Out! These Mooninites might look cute, but when attached to things like signs or street polls they take on an extremely explosive quality. Irina gets the scoop from the suspected terrorists. A major highlight of CES for the GETV crew was getting immersed in nerdcore life. Nerdcore hiphop is a global phenomenon that showed Las Vegas that it's for real and not to be trifled with. Posted in GETV Episode by ekai on January 18, 2007
While wandering the floor of CES last week, we came across a lonely comedian reading the newspaper next to a stack of joke machine gadgets. Upon further investigation, we find out it's Jackie "The Joke Man" Martling, the man who occupied the Jackie chair on the Howard Stern show for 15 years. Irina gets put through the Jackie wringer in style, nothing left untouched or to the imagination. Episode links: Jackie Martling, Katie Fahrenbacher, CES 2007
